THE DTI-INTERFORUM E-COMMERCE AWARDS

Free to enter, the national E-Commerce Awards ran from 1999-2005 and were led bythe (External) Departmentof Tradeand Industry , and InterForum , a not for profit membership organisation that helped British businesses to trade electronically.
This site aims to highlight the role the E-Commerce Awards played in encouraging Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises to develop their business through the use of E-Commerce technologies.
Theawards, which were sponsored by a number of corporate and media partners, weredesigned to recognise and reward those organisationsthatdemonstrated excellence through the use of the Internet and other Information & Communications Technologies. The Awardswere open to UK businesses (limited or otherwise), public bodies, registered charities and not-for-profit organisationsbased in England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Irelandand the Isle of Man.

The 2005 E-Commerce Awards E-Champion BLUEHEATH HOLDINGS PLC
London based Internet-enabled grocery wholesaler, Blueheath Holdings PLC,was thelast organisation to be awarded the title of national E-Champion at the seventh annual DTI / InterForum E-Commerce Awards in association with the coprorate sponsor for the year - BT.Blueheath holdings was congratulatedon the innovative way in which it applied e-technology to develop a unique business model servicing the independent grocery retail sector, transforming the efficiency and effectiveness of its distribution model and stripping costs out of its supply chain.

The National E-CommerceAwards programme ended in 2005 and the Awards programme for that year culminated in a Gala dinner atthe Grosvenor House Hotel, London; hostedby BBC News Presenter, Declan Curry.
